Shower Transfer Bench

A shower transfer bench spans the wall of a bathtub, with two legs resting inside the tub and two resting outside on the bathroom floor. That design lets a person sit down on the outside portion of the bench first, then slide across to the inside portion, avoiding the high step-over motion that a standard tub entry requires.

The seat surface is molded with a textured pattern specifically to stay grippy when wet, which is the main safety concern with any bath seating — a smooth wet plastic surface is genuinely dangerous, and this bench is built to avoid that failure point. Drainage holes in the seat let water pass through instead of pooling.

Each of the four legs adjusts independently, so the bench can be leveled even on a tub with a sloped or uneven floor, which is common in older bathtub installations. The frame is aluminum, chosen for its resistance to rust in a wet environment, and the whole bench assembles without tools using a twist-lock leg system.
